Flowcite Integrates Smart Citations from Scite to Speed Up Research
Flowcite – a German-based service providing an all-in-one platform for academic research, writing, editing, and publishing –partners up with Brooklyn-based scite.ai to offer quick source evaluation for its users to ensure quality, improve the relevance of results, and thus save time on research.
scite is an award-winning platform used to discover and evaluate scientific articles via Smart Citations –a technology that allows users to see how a scientific paper has previously been cited by providing context around the citation and a report detailing whether it provides supporting or contrasting evidence for the cited claim. Using scite enables authors, editors, and peer-reviewers to ensure that their references are reliable in a quick and effective way. Founded in 2018, scite has received wide recognition from the global academic community and has partnered with leading organizations and publishers including Cambridge University Press, Karger, and SAGE Publishing.
The integration of scite’s Smart Citations within Flowcite, will help users evaluate search results within the Flowcite Knowledge Library, which contains over 250 million sources. Sources with a digital object identifier (DOI) will now show how many times a source has been cited and the types of citations it has received, including if it has been supported or contrasted by other published research. By clicking the Smart Citation badge you can open a scite report for each paper anytime and read a full analysis of the paper’s citation score.
